Jack Chambers Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation Fianna Fáil

The State Laboratory has advised me that there is currently no backlog of toxicology reports. All samples that have arrived to the State Laboratory are at different parts of the analytical and reporting process. There are approximately 1,500 forensic toxicology cases currently being processed in the State Laboratory. The State Laboratory receives over 4,500 forensic toxicology cases each year.
