202. Deputy Fionntán Ó Súilleabháin asked the Minister for Education and Youth if she will request the State Examinations Commission to review 'Culture War' language as used in the applied Leaving Certificate Social Education examination, which normalises terminology that many view as divisive, unnecessary, and as an affront to the rights and dignity of biological women; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Hildegarde Naughton Minister for Education and Youth Fine Gael

The State Examinations Commission (SEC) has responsibility for the operation and delivery of the State examinations, including the preparation of all examination papers and test instruments.

In view of this, I have asked the SEC to respond directly to the Deputy.
