174. Deputy Maeve O'Connell asked the Minister for Transport for an update on the designation of the Leopardstown Road (R113) regional road. [46092/26]

My Department is currently reviewing and consolidating National and Regional Road Classifications. This consolidation requires the entry into force of secondary legislation, which is not expected before the end of this year.

As regards the Leopardstown Road, my Department and Transport Infrastructure Ireland are in consultation with Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown County Council on its National and Regional Road Classifications.

Following this consultation, it can be anticipated that there will be changes to the classification of certain roads within the area of responsibility of Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown County Council.
