Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Defence the number of leaseholds her Department holds for company headquarters for the Reserve Defence Forces; the number surrendered to local authorities since 1 January 2016; and if her Department requested that any surrendered sites were reserved for potential future use by the Defence Forces. I can confirm that my Department has one leasehold for company headquarters for the Reserve Defence Forces which is in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. This property is leased from Mayo County Council.

My Department has surrendered no leaseholds to local authorities since 1 January 2016 or requested that any surrendered sites were reserved for potential future use by the Defence Forces.
