Ireland looks forward to playing its part to continue the work that was begun by Colombia and the Netherlands, by partnering with Tuvalu to co-host the Second Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels. The Second Conference will be held in Tuvalu in 2027, with a pre-meeting to be held shortly before that in Dublin.

Discussions are ongoing with Tuvalu, as well as Colombia and the Netherlands, on arrangements for the Second Conference, including in respect of confirming dates for the Second Conference and its pre-meeting, and in respect of any specific policy focus for the Second Conference.
