Refurbishment works are planned by the Office of Public Works to a State owned building to accommodate a new Garda Station in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo.

It was initially intended that another Office of Public Works' client would co-locate in the building with An Garda Siochána, and so a Part IX planning application was being prepared on this basis.

However, it is now intended that the entire building will be occupied by An Garda Siochána. An Garda Siochána are reviewing their operational requirements in light of the availability of additional accommodation.

Once agreement has been reached with An Garda Siochána regarding the most efficient use of the building, a revised Part IX Planning Application can proceed.
