Patient Transport

217. Deputy Eamon Scanlon asked the Minister for Health if she will undertake a review of the daily charge imposed on older people using HSE transport services to access HSE-funded services, with a view to abolishing this fee, given that many users hold free travel passes but cannot avail of them on these HSE-operated services; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is an operational matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
