Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Health the clinical governance framework under which a local area management team is permitted to override and dismiss a formal specialist diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder (DID) made by an independent expert commissioned and funded by the HSE; the basis on which a diagnosis of DID can be dismissed when the State acknowledges it lacks the specialist expertise to assess or treat the condition; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
