The Tarry Path in Mayfield forms part of a wider renewal area.

It should be noted that regeneration is among the most complex forms of housing delivery. This is a challenging brownfield site within an existing community.

At feasibility stage, careful consideration must be afforded to continuity of community life, phased redevelopment, utility diversions and public realm requirements.

I understand from Cork City Council that when the initial feasibility is concluded and a procurement and design route chosen, a submission for funding will be made by Cork City Council to my Department.
