Deputy Ciarán Ahern asked the Minister for Health the legal assurances, representations, warranties, indemnities and other legal protections that were provided, considered or relied upon prior to the signing of a contract (details supplied) for the interim electronic health system currently being implemented under accelerated timelines across the country; the persons, offices and bodies represented during the contract execution process; the person or body which determined the individuals involved in the contract signing and approval process; the legal advice obtained in advance of the contract being executed; whether such advice was provided by internal legal advisers, or any other external legal counsel; the extent of legal oversight exercised during the procurement and contract execution process; whether any legal risks, qualifications or reservations were identified prior to execution; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
