1183. The school referred to was approved to enter the Department's pipeline of school building projects under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme for the provision of two general classrooms, one engineering room, two construction rooms with one prep area, one design and communication graphics room, one multimedia room, one graphics room, one science room with one prep area, a two classroom special educational needs (SEN) base, and three special education tuition (SET) rooms. The school authority is being assisted by Galway and Roscommon ETB (GRETB) in the delivery of this project.

A revised Stage 1 Addendum report was submitted to my department following a request for a resubmission submitted to the Department and is currently under review from both a technical and cost perspective, in accordance with the Department's Infrastructure Guidelines.

The accommodation needs of the school will continue to be considered as part of the Department's ongoing prioritisation of capital projects under the National Development Plan, in consultation with the school's patron and school authorities. Progression to the next stage of the project will be subject to the outcome of the review and the availability of funding within the Department's capital programme.

Once the review process has been completed, we will contact Galway and Roscommon ETB directly to advise them of the outcome and outline the next steps for the project.
