1189. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Education and Youth if she will ensure a school bus ticket is granted to a student (details supplied). [55884/26]

The School Transport Scheme is a significant operation managed by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth.

Bus Éireann have advised that the pupil in question is deemed concessionary for transport as they are attending their third nearest post primary centre.

However, I am pleased to advise they were successful in receiving a ticket for the 2026/27 school year and the ticket was posted on 17 July 2026.
