Litter Pollution

Deputy Donna McGettigan asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment whether the sampling, survey and scoring methodologies of the national litter pollution monitoring system have been evaluated by a body independent of his Department, participating local authorities and the contracted litter monitoring body; if so, the date, body, scope, principal findings and publication location of each such evaluation completed since 2015; and the internal quality-assurance and audit procedures currently applied to the NLPMS; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
