My Department has reported non-compliant spend of €8.2m in respect of 2025. The Deputy should note, this figure is provisional and is subject to audit by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, with the final figure to be published in the 2025 Appropriation Accounts later this year.
The vast majority of this non-compliant spend relates to payroll systems, which my Department is in the process of regularising through compliant procurement. Given the lengthy procurement timelines and multi-year phased implementation required for replacement solutions, a significant proportion of this spend is expected to continue into 2026.
The information in respect of state bodies under the aegis of my Department, within the scope of the Deputy’s question, is not held by my Department. State bodies have been provided with the question and have been advised to respond directly to the Deputy.
