The Department of Culture, Communications and Sport was established on June 1st, 2025. Since its establishment, there has been no spending on strategic consultants in preparation for Oireachtas committees.

My Department provides a central learning and development hub via OneLearning and all staff are encouraged to undertake the training available on this digital platform. The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) are responsible for the OneLearning platform and the development of courses available on it. In addition, requests for further training or conferences are considered when there is a business case provided to support the request.

The table below outlines the number of staff in my Department who have received media training in preparation for Oireachtas committees from June 1st 2025 to date, and the associated expenditure.

With regard to bodies under the aegis of my Department, the information sought by the Deputy is an operational matter for those bodies and not something for which I have direct day-to-day responsibility.
