My Department is guided by relevant legislation, policies and the National Cyber Security Centre in respect of all matters related to the use or operation of AI. All applications and platforms used or operated by my Department must be in line with relevant policies and be consistent with advice provided by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

My Department is well advanced in developing its approach to the adoption of AI, having established the appropriate governance, compliance, security and risk management arrangements required to support any future use of AI technologies and adopting a flexible and practical approach to early AI adoption, enabling learning and adaptation as the technology and its applications evolve.
