Deputy Conor Sheehan asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the number of capital works projects currently ongoing at each National Park under the remit of his Department; when each of those projects will be completed, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Details of ongoing capital works at National Parks are set out in the table below and include indicative timelines. Some projects involving nature management - such as invasive species control - are funded on an annual basis and ongoing investment in these areas is likely in future years even if an end date is provided.

It should be noted that these are capital works projects that have been allocated funding from the 2026 budget of the Heritage Division of my Department and which have been substantially commenced. It does not include works that may arise later in the year, including incidental works or routine maintenance.
