1982. Deputy Donna McGettigan asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of WTE staff by grade based at Ennis INTREO Office as of 17 July 2026; if he will provide the same figures as of 31 December 2023, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [56537/26]

The number of whole time equivalent (WTE) staff by grade, based in Ennis Intreo Centre, as of the end June 2026 and the end of December 2023, is set out in the table below.

This staffing complement delivers a wide range of services including the Intreo public office,  Community Welfare Service, Employment Services, National Intreo Contact Centre, National Processing Team and control teams.

Recruitment is ongoing in respect of number of posts, which are currently vacant.  One permanent post will be filled on 27th July with recruitment ongoing for another six permanent posts and one temporary post.  Temporary resources can be engaged from time to time to provide cover for staff absences, manage surges in workload and respond to exceptional pressures.

The Department continues to monitor staffing requirements across its network of Intreo Centres to ensure the effective delivery of services to the public.
