Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Social Protection the current application status of a person (details supplied) who submitted their application online and submitted supporting medical documentation by post subsequently in April; whether consideration would be given to issuing an immediate decision on this case in light of the delays in processing the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department received an application for Domiciliary Care Allowance in respect of the child concerned in April 2026. The application has now been assessed by a Deciding Officer, who awarded the claim in a decision dated 24 July 2026.
