Agri-food trade official statistics, as compiled by the Central Statistics Office, are reported at the national level and further breakdowns by region and county are not available.

Agri-food trade is reported by 22 categories which are agreed upon by my Department and the Central Statistics Office. In 2025, Irish agri-food exports reached a record €20.8 billion, an increase of over 9% or €1.8 billion on the previous record level of €19 billion achieved in 2024, and represented 8% of total Irish merchandise exports by value. Agri-food export volume increased by 5.3% or 416,285 tonnes in the same period.

The top three export categories by value were Dairy at €7.2 billion (35% of total), Beef at €3.6 billion (18% of total), and Beverages at €2.2 billion (11% of total).

Data provided is preliminary and is subject to revision.

Further information on Agri Food Trade can be found in Chapter 6 of my Department's flagship economic publication, www.gov.ie/en/department-of-agriculture-food-and-the-marine/publications/annual-review-and-outlook-for-agriculture-food-and-the-marine-2024/.
