Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality to confirm that an assessment of need will be urgently provided for a child (details supplied), noting the serious nature of this case and that further assessments that require to be carried out following this that cannot commence until the assessment of need is concluded; to give consideration to expediting the case due to the very serious circumstances in the case; to confirm that a complaint procedure to request an expedite has been received and that consideration for expediting a decision on this too will be considered given the circumstances; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
