2965. Deputy Conor D. McGuinness asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the number of children in residential disability services who are placed more than 50 kilometres and more than 100 kilometres from their family home, broken down by HSE Health Region, county of origin and county of placement, in tabular form; to indicate whether the cohort placed more than 100 kilometres from home is included within, or reported separately from, the cohort placed more than 50 kilometres from home; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to thank the Deputy for raising this question. As this question refers to service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly.
