The Minister referred the question on final authority for the National Children’s Hospital opening to the HSE for a direct response.

Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 2444 of 9 June 2026, the specific office or body that holds final authority to authorise day one opening of the National Children's Hospital, following the Go/No-Go recommendation made by Children's Health Ireland under the Go Live Readiness Assessment process; if this authorisation requires separate sign-off from the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board, the HSE, or the Department of Health; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
