The Minister provided smoking, vaping and nicotine pouch prevalence tables for 2021–2025, noting pouch data began in 2025 and age-specific figures require caution.

Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health the prevalence of cigarette smoking, e-cigarette use and nicotine pouch use respectively, as recorded by the Healthy Ireland Survey, overall and among persons aged 15 to 24 years, in each of the survey years 2021 to 2025, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The tables below outline current smoking, vaping and nicotine pouch use in both the overall population and the 15-24 year cohort, as found in the Healthy Ireland survey. Questions on nicotine pouch use were included for the first time in 2025 and are not available for previous years. Due to these questions only applying to a small percentage of overall respondents, figures regarding specific age cohorts and individual products should be interpreted with caution.
