Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Health the number of patients who have been confined as hospital inpatients since receiving or awaiting procedure at the cardiac cath lab suite at UHW since the 24/7 rota became operational; the number who could not be admitted to coronary care unit due to lack of beds and were subsequently placed in other medical bed wards; the number of these (other) beds that offered telemetry connection to the coronary care unit monitoring unit; if they did not, the observational protocol for dealing with these patients; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
