The Minister referred the request for CHO4 ophthalmology waiting-list figures and sight-loss risk data to the HSE for a direct response.

Deputy Aindrias Moynihan asked the Minister for Health the number of patients awaiting ophthalmology appointments, diagnostics and treatment for glaucoma and other non-cataract eye conditions in CHO4 as of the latest available date; the breakdown of those waiting by hospital, age cohort and waiting time; the number of patients assessed as being at risk of vision deterioration or permanent sight loss while awaiting review or treatment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
