The Minister referred Deputy Roche’s request for increased inpatient capacity and reduced overcrowding at the specified hospital to the HSE for a direct response.

Deputy Peter Roche asked the Minister for Health for an update on the actions being taken by her Department and the HSE to increase inpatient bed capacity at a hospital (details supplied) in order to meet the healthcare needs of a growing population, reduce overcrowding and improve patient flow through the emergency department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
