The Minister said Government business uses departmental email, with constituency or Oireachtas queries forwarded appropriately, under DPER Circular 09/2019.

Government business is transacted through Departmental email addresses. On occasion, queries received through constituency or Oireachtas email accounts are forwarded to my Department for appropriate follow-up.
My Department operates in accordance with DPER Circular 09/2019, Policy on the Use of Private Email and Other Private Messaging Services, which sets out the requirements governing the use of private email and other private messaging services for official Government business.
