James Lawless Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Fianna Fáil

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that twelve project proposals are currently being progressed under the FET College Major Capital Programme. Nine of the proposals have been approved to move to the Pre-tender - Project Design, Planning, and Procurement Strategy Stage, including a proposal from Kildare Wicklow ETB.

In order to provide for consistency of approach and to ensure timely delivery of projects under this programme, an integrated design team framework was advertised to suppliers in April of this year.

Tenders for appointment to this framework are currently being evaluated. Once the evaluation process has concluded, the framework will be established and made available to ETBs that are ready to draw down services under it. Support for KWETB in progressing this major capital project will be provided throughout the process in order to ensure that key FET infrastructure is delivered to meet the needs of learners in Wicklow and surrounding areas.
