The development of industrial and warehousing land and facilities involves a range of stakeholders, including local authorities and private sector interests, depending on the circumstances of a particular project.

Kildare County Council is best placed to assess the need for and viability of any such development in Athy.

IDA Ireland's role is to support the attraction and growth of foreign direct investment, and the Agency engages with local authorities and other stakeholders where relevant to that remit.

The details supplied do not specify the nature of the project concerned or whether it relates to a potential foreign direct investment opportunity.

If the Deputy or Kildare County Council want to provide further details, the Minister’s officials can examine the proposal further.
