Deputy Peter Roche asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number and location of Irish embassies, consulates and other diplomatic missions currently in operation; the number of staff employed at each mission, broken down by diplomatic, administrative and locally engaged staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Ireland has a global network of diplomatic missions that includes Embassies, Consulates and missions to multilateral organisations such as the European Union and the United Nations. These missions are staffed by posted Irish civil servants and locally engaged staff.
