The organisation referred to by the Deputy was provisionally allocated €500,000 under the 2023 round of the Community Sport Facilities Fund towards the building of an indoor gymnasium. The Department has not received the required documentation to process the relevant payment request. The Department has requested this information on a number of occasions.

The organisation was also allocated a provisional grant of €1 million under the 2024 round of the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund. The Department is awaiting documentation so that the project can proceed through the various gateways as required by the Infrastructure Guidelines, as set out by the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.
