My Department publishes comprehensive programme-level statistics on a quarterly basis on social housing activity by local authorities and Approved Housing Bodies for each local authority area. Data is currently available to the end of Q1 2026 and is published on the statistics page of my Department’s website at the following link: www.gov.ie/en/collection/6060e-overall-social-housing-provision/.

My Department also publishes data on social housing delivery at local authority level. The Social Housing Construction Status report (CSR), published quarterly by my Department, can be searched by location. It can be found at this link: www.gov.ie/en/department-of-housing-local-government-and-heritage/collections/social-housing-construction-projects-status-reports/.

This report provides a breakdown of local authority and Approved Housing Body social housing new-build activity including scheme-level details on the completion of social housing new builds as well as information on each construction scheme as it progresses through the design and tender processes. The latest CSR provides data to the end of Q1 2026.
