The statutory bodies operating under the aegis of my Department are the Citizens Information Board, the Pensions Authority, the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority (NAERSA), the Pensions Council and the Social Welfare Tribunal.
The salary details, as requested by the Deputy, are set out below:
• Citizens Information Board: The salary of the Chief Executive Officer is €150,890. This is based on the Principal Officer (Higher) salary scale, with a Director's Allowance.
• Pensions Authority: The salary of the Pensions Regulator (equivalent to CEO) is €196,205. This is based on the Assistant Secretary General's salary scale.
• NAERSA: The salary of the Chief Executive Officer is €221,451. This is based on the Deputy Secretary General's salary scale.
The Pensions Council and the Social Welfare Tribunal do not have a Chief Executive. All work associated with their functions are carried out by Department of Social Protection staff.
