Dara Calleary Minister for Social Protection Fianna Fáil

The Carer's Support Grant (CSG) is an annual payment for carers who look after a person in need of full-time care and attention. The payment is made regardless of the carer's means but is subject to certain conditions.

I can confirm that, according to the records of this Department, no application form for a CSG has been received from the person concerned. An application form (CSG1) has been posted to the person concerned. A new medical report is not necessary in this instance. When the completed application form has been returned, a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified of the outcome in writing.

Applications for 2025 CSG will be accepted up to 31 December 2026.

I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
