The persons concerned were awarded State Pension Non-Contributory from their respective 66th birthdays in 2007 and 2012.

Following a review of their entitlement, a Deciding Officer determined that they no longer qualified for State Pension Non-Contributory with effect from 8 November 2024, as their means exceeded the statutory limit. The persons concerned were advised of the decision and of their right to appeal to the independent Social Welfare Appeals Office. No appeal was received.

The last correspondence with the persons concerned was in 2024. However, the most recent correspondence on file in relation to this matter is a response to the Deputy on 15 June 2026. The Deputy was advised of the outcome of the review and advised that if there was any change to the persons' financial or personal circumstances, it is open to them to submit a new application for State Pension Non-Contributory.

In reviewing the current position, it appears that neither of the persons concerned are in receipt of the Household Benefits Package. I have arranged for an application form to issue should they wish to apply.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
