In progressing Government policy, developing new legislation, or progressing matters of importance to public safety, my Department and relevant agencies may progress public information and education campaigns to support important issues across the justice sector.

When planning and managing any paid communications, the Department ensures each project works to reach its target audience through the most appropriate channels and achieves good value for public funds.

In 2025 and 2026, the Department managed information campaigns on topics that included: Recruitment to the International Protection Office panel, Victim's Rights, Fireworks Awareness, Child Maintenance, and Child Friendly Family Law Resources. The table below outlines the spend in 2025 and 2026 year to date on digital and social channels, which would include pre-roll video, digital audio, digital display, search and social media.

I am informed of the following expenditure on digital campaigns by agencies under the aegis of my Department. It has not been possible in all cases to provide the percentage breakdown of this spend in relation to each body’s annual public information campaigns budget.
