2319. Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration when he last met the Chief Superintendent of Sligo-Leitrim division; and the topics discussed. [61665/26]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 2318 and 2319 together.

As the Deputy will be aware, the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána under section 33 of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. While I have not had any meetings with the Chief Superintendents of the Wexford-Wicklow and Sligo-Leitrim Divisions, I look forward to engaging with them in the future.

I can, however, assure the Deputy that I engage regularly with Garda management, including at their Associations' Annual Conferences and when I visit stations across the country. This provides me with the opportunity to engage with frontline Gardaí and Garda management on a range of policing matters.
