Please be advised that the person referred to applied to renew their current permission on 26 May 2026. This application was refused on 22 August 2026.

The Registration Office of the Immigration Service Delivery of my Department advised that the application was refused as the person referred to needed further permission to register under the stamp specified.

I understand that the applicant has now received the necessary letter and has submitted a new OREG application, which will be processed in due course.

A refund will be arranged for the refused application and returned to the card holder's account within 10 to 15 business days.

As an Oireachtas member, you can also request the status of individual immigration cases by e-mail, using the Oireachtas Mail facility at: IMoireachtasmail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Question process.
