Deputy Natasha Newsome Drennan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total amount allocated to the CAP budget for agriculture in Ireland nationally and co-funded by Europe for Pillar 1 and Pillar 2, the amount from each pillar that has been paid to farmers as a total in each of the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and to date in 2026, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement. The following tables include a breakdown of the EU CAP expenditure under Pillar 1 (EAGF) and Pillar 2 (EAFRD) in calendar years 2022 to 2025, including 2026 to date.

This period encompasses two CAP programmes, 2014-2020 and 2023-2027. Ireland was allocated a total of €9.8bn in the current CAP 2023-2027 programme, which commenced in calendar year 2023.
