Since I first secured dedicated funding of €2.5m for farm safety in Budget 2022, increasing to €2.5m in 2023 and €3m in 2025, my Department has continued to develop and implement an expanding range of initiatives to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of our farming community. The schemes which my Department has funded to support mental health and wellbeing over the past five years are set out in the following tables. Many of these projects also include a focus on isolation among the farming community.
