Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) receive funding from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, either directly or through Tusla’s annual allocation, with additional support from the Department of Health’s Healthy Ireland initiative. This funding enables inter-agency coordination and collaboration to improve outcomes for children and young people in local areas.

In 2026, CYPSC received €3.36 million in direct funding from the Department, a 17.5% increase on the €2.86 million provided in 2025.

All funding is awarded annually, consistent with Public Financial Procedures and the Government's Estimates and budget cycle. Tusla and CYPSC recognise the annual nature of this funding and factor it into their programme design and delivery. Separate to this, CYPSC core staffing remains stable as all 27 CYPSC coordinators and 27 CYPSC project support workers are employed directly by Tusla and form part of Tusla's broader workforce planning which is separate from annual funding allocations.
