Deputy Marie Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if she is aware of reports of the proposed closure by the HSE of a ward (details supplied); the reason for the proposed closure; if she will intervene to oppose this proposed closure; if a local impact assessment of this closure has been carried out; the plan for each patient in the context of the proposed closure that patients can avail of specialised long term residential care in their locality; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
