The Minister referred the request for assault-related injuries over the past decade to the HSE for a direct response.

Deputy Albert Dolan asked the Minister for Health the number of persons who acquired a traumatic brain injury, neurological injury, long-term disability or other significant health condition as a result of being the victim of a physical assault in each of the past ten years; the number of such cases identified as arising from unprovoked assaults, where recorded; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
