The Minister said cancer services and related research funding will be decided through the 2027 Estimates and Service Planning processes, considering stakeholder submissions.

Decisions on next year’s funding of cancer services and any related health research activities (via the Health Research Board) are being made in the context of the Estimates process for 2027. The points raised in all pre-budget submissions will be noted and all stakeholder views will be considered during the Service Planning process for 2027.
