NSAC has received multiple cardiovascular screening proposals, with 2026 submissions to be considered at upcoming meetings and their status published in its work programme.

The National Screening Advisory Committee (NSAC) is the independent expert group that provides advice to myself as Minister for Health on Ireland’s population-based screening programmes.
NSAC holds annual Calls for Submissions, which invite all stakeholders, including members of the public, HSE and other medical professionals, to propose changes to Ireland’s screening programmes.
NSAC has received multiple applications related to screening for cardiovascular conditions. Further details on the status of these applications is available on the Committee’s Work Programme

With regards to submissions received through NSAC’s 2026 Call for Submissions. This Call closed on 28 August and applications will be considered by the Committee at its upcoming meetings.
