I have been informed by the HSE that Organ Donation Transplant Ireland (ODTI) continues to progress a programme of work to support the ongoing development of organ donation and transplantation services nationally. This includes the development of a strategic framework for organ donation and transplantation.

ODTI have advised that their key priority at present is engagement with transplant centres and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic priorities, actions, and service developments that will support the sustainable delivery of organ donation and transplantation services in the coming years.

My Department and ODTI remain committed to advancing this work and to supporting continued improvement and innovation across Ireland’s organ donation and transplantation services.
