Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Health the current status of the recruitment for a consultant ophthalmologist in south Tipperary; the number of children who are now overdue an appointment since the retirement of a doctor (details supplied); the additional steps being taken to ensure these children receive an appointment or appropriate eye care in the community; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
