The Minister referred questions on consultant gynaecology staffing, vacancies and capacity plans in Galway and the west and north-west region to the HSE.

Deputy John Connolly asked the Minister for Health the number of consultant gynaecologists currently serving Galway and the HSE west and north-west Health Region; whether there are vacancies in approved consultant posts; the plans in place to increase consultant gynaecology capacity in the region; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
