Hospital Staff

Summary

The Minister referred questions about Cork University Hospital’s staffing levels and approved ceiling to the HSE for a direct response.

3824. Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Health whether Cork University Hospital is currently considered to be over its approved staffing ceiling or short of safe staffing levels; to set out the number of staff, by grade, that the Department and the HSE consider the hospital to be over or under; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
